STUDIO GUIDELINES
Guest & Children Guidelines
Our salon is a professional work environment with hot tools, glass, large heavy mirrors, chemicals, and sharp objects. For everyone’s safety, guests are limited to the service recipient. No extra guests or children are permitted. Renters are responsible for communicating these guidelines to their clients. If a client arrives with a child or guest who is not receiving a service, the appointment will need to be cancelled and rescheduled.
Studio Space Booking
Please read the description of the studio space you’re interested in to verify the equipment it includes before you book.
Independent Business Relationship
Renters are established independent businesses with all required licenses and certificates to operate legally. This includes, but is not limited to, a cosmetology or barber license, business license, and liability insurance. Documents are verified at your initial check-in. Renters have full autonomy over their booking, clients, prices, and schedule.
Insurance
Renters must provide a current insurance card with declarations, or may pay into the salon’s insurance: $19 per day or $65 per week.
Advertising
As an independent business, market yourself as working within Glamour FX. Brand, promote, and sell your business your way.
Renter/Client Relationship
Client consent forms are available at each studio space. Renters must have each client sign and understand that the renter handles 100% of their service and that the salon is not affiliated with it. Salon FX operates strictly as a facility for rent. Consent forms for each client must be turned in to the salon at the end of the day. Renters may keep a scanned copy for their records.
Provided Supplies
Salon FX supports independence and provides supplies to help you through your busy day.
Supplies: color bowls, tint brushes, mobile hair dryers, cutting capes, brushes, cutting combs, foil combs, wide tooth combs, teasing combs, perm rods, towels, barbicide, rubbing alcohol, and band-aids.
Hot tools: curling irons, flat irons, and blow dryers.
Backbar: shampoo, conditioner, and styling products.
Cleaning Guidelines
All renters must follow cleaning and sanitation guidelines within their scope of practice. Keep your work area tidy and clean as you go to prevent buildup. At the end of the day, reset your space completely for services the following day. Sweep hair regularly. Eyevac hair vacuums are located around the salon for easy use.
Dress Guidelines
Come to work with hair tidy, dressed fashionably and clean, and makeup done. Keep it classy and dress professionally, no midriff-baring tops.
Parking Guidelines
Please park on the north side of the lot so clients and customers have priority parking in front of the salon.
Smoking Guidelines
Renters and their guests, please smoke outside in the back. Patio furniture and space are provided for your privacy and comfort.

Professional License Guidelines
Please have your driver’s license, professional license, and business license ready for verification at check-in.
Walk-In Client Guidelines
Walk-ins are first come, first served based on check-in time each day.
